What Is Palliative Care?
Palliative care focuses on relieving symptoms, reducing stress and anxiety, and supporting physical, emotional and (where important to you) spiritual wellbeing so each day feels as comfortable and meaningful as possible.
When someone is approaching the end of life, CQC highlights the importance of ensuring people are supported to experience a comfortable and dignified approach, with pain and symptoms assessed and managed effectively, and with access to specialist palliative care support where needed.
